Harmony students from El Paso participated at the annual STEAM Fiesta 2018. STEAM Fiesta is a two day event where more than 10 city wide competitions take place. Over 1,000 middle school students participated in this two day occasion where over 40,000 dollars were awarded to El Paso youth. With an App Design, Mr. Ismail Turel and his students took home first place and received $1,500.00. In the Architecture traveling on Mars project, Ms. Perla Aguilera and her students took home first place and received $1,500.00. Mr. Joshua Gandara and his students also took home first place and received $1,500.00 in the Drone Competition, and in the MakerSpace category, Mr. Sean Estrada and his students took home second place and received $750.00. The tournaments were hosted by various organizations, such as AT&T, Texas Tech College of Architecture, FabLab El Paso, Microsoft, Western Tech College and more. We would like to congratulate all students and teachers for an outstanding representation of Harmony.
