DFW Harmony students participated at the Fort Worth Regional Science and Engineering Fair, February 16-17. Ft. Worth Innovation took home 27 awards including 2 Best of Fair in all categories, automatically advancing to International competition. Ashar K. won 1st Place and Best of Fair Award in Junior Division with his project “Microbes The Giants of the Future: Water Desalination Using MDC’s.” In the Senior Division, Best of Show Award also went to Harmony freshman Ruhani A. with her project “Lipoprotein-based Therapeutic Approach to Combat Breast Cancer.” Another Harmony student, Enzo S., received Honorable Mention in the Junior Division for his project “Hydro Gen.13.” Winning students advanced to the Texas State Science and Engineering Fair in San Antonio, Texas. The Harmony School of Nature team brought home 1st place awards in the environmental science category and plant science category in addition to a 2nd place award in the robotics category. Students also received individual awards from Arlington Energy Institute, US Navy, Arlington Water Institute, and Fort Worth Audubon Society Conservation.
