South Houston 5th grade students competed at the Harmony Math Challenge this past weekend at Harmony Science Academy-Sugar Land. This event was open to students from all around South Houston, it served as a way to inform prospective parents about Harmony and what our district has to offer. STEMdemonstrations also took place during the competition, where students had the opportunity to present some of their STEM projects that they work on in the classroom. The competition involved 5th graders completing complex, paper-based math problems. Winners of the competition won great prices such as an Apple iPad Mini, and Solar Robot Kit.
