As a strategic outreach partner of Army Educational Outreach Programs (AEOP), Harmony has been promoting a number of national STEM programs under AEOP portfolio. One of these programs is Junior Science & Humanities Symposia (JSHS), a prestigious STEM research competition where students submit an abstract of their research. Only a select number of applicants are invited to join this three-day symposium and present their research paper at a designated university in each state. Texas A&M University in College Station is organizing and hosting JSHS in Texas. Several Harmony campuses across the state have submitted abstracts to JSHS and we are proud to announce that 7 high school students from Harmony School of Political Science – Austin (3), Harmony School of Discovery – Houston (2), Harmony School of Ingenuity – Houston (1), and Harmony Science Academy – Laredo (1) have qualified and received an invitation to present at JSHS next January. During the symposium, our students will be presenting at Texas A&M University in front of a panel, exchanging ideas with other researchers as well as learning more about academic and career opportunities. Students who participate in this event are eligible to win scholarship prizes as well.
