On September 15, Harmony Science Academy-Houston High participated in the annual Energy Day Festival, presenting a sample of projects that they work on during the school year. Every year Consumer Energy Alliance hosts the largest family festival showcasing STEM leading organizations, and education systems from around the city. Around 70 organizations come together to spark an interest in STEM among the community. HSA-Houston High students presented projects using very sophisticated equipment which enlightened crowds of all ages. Attending events such as Energy Day is part of Harmonys Share & Shine method, where students engage in deeper learning, and master concepts they share with their communities, peers, and guests of all ages. The Eco Car team was also at the event, speaking to the community about last year’s success, and asking the community for support as they embark on creating a more advanced vehicle for next year’s competition.
