Harmony students Melva C. from HSA-Laredo and Idriss K. from HSPS-Austin were nominated to attend this year’s Congress of Future Science and Technology Leaders as delegates. In order to attend the event students needed to be nominated, and have at least a 3.5 GPA. This event is organized to congregate together the top performing students in the country that are looking to pursue STEM careers. Both Idriss and Melva were nominated by Shree Bose, the Academic Director of the National Academy of Future Scientists and Technologist. The conference that ran from June 29- July 1 was held in Lowell, Massachusetts, they had the opportunity to listen to some of the nation’s top STEM professionals speak on the importance of furthering STEM education.
