July 13, 2016 Written by Editor-Admin

Adesuwa at INESPOAdesuwa started working on her outstanding project at her school laboratory with the help of scientist Dr. Altunas from Houston Institute of Biotechnology. She started in September of 2015 after school, and on the weekends along with other six peers. Adesuwa first participated at the Harmony Science and Engineering Fair (H-SEF), where she was awarded a gold medal and best project Award in the senior division. She also participate at InternationalSustainable World Energy, Engineering, & Environment Project Olympiad (I -SWEEEP) where she was given a special award from Texas Tech University. On May 27th Adesuwa traveled to Amsterdam, Netherlands with her mentor teacher Ms. Fatih to present her project at the International Engineering and Sustainability Project Olympiad (INESPO) where Adesuwa was the only representative from North America to receive a gold medal. INESPO is a week long competition organized by Cosmicus, it brings together the top science projects from all around the world. Harmony has participated in INESPO for the second year and we are proud that our students brought back the gold medal two years in a row representing United States in this international science fair. We would like to congratulate Adesuwa for this great accomplishment.
