Next April you can find Team Torque in Michigan, driving a car of the future. The HSA-Houston High team will endure long hours of work, with the help of their mentor teacher Mr. Eroglu to design and build an energy efficient car that they can take to the Shell Eco Marathon. The Shell Eco Marathon 2016 will take place at Cobo Center in Detroit, MI next April. Samir Sadikhov, one of Ferrari’s top designers, took the time to speak to Team Torque this past week through a video conference connection from Germany where he works. Mr. Sadikhov provided Harmony students with valuable tips on how to create a more efficient car design, and answered their questions. Shell Eco-marathon challenges student teams from around the world to design, build and test ultra-energy efficient vehicles. The winning car is the car that travels the longest using the least amount of fuel. For many years now, Shell has been providing students from all over the world, the opportunity to learn more about high efficiency cars, and the impact they can make in the environment. We wish Team Torque the best of luck with their car of the future.
